Dave has more than thirty five years' experience in management, operations management and process/product engineering in the U.S., Mexico and Europe. Clients have benefited through successful projects in food and drug distribution, medical device manufacture and distribution, wholesale/retail distribution (apparel, hard and soft goods), automotive manufacturing (first, second, third tier and aftermarket), computer systems manufacture, telecommunications (satellite and mobile phone systems) and other industries. Representative experience includes project management for systems integration and automation of a 640,000 square foot “green field” operations center. That project exceeded $75 million and met start dates, ramp rates and performance goals.

As Founding Principal of Strategic Transformation Advisors, Dave provides clients access to broad career experiences and a successful track record in operating responsible positions. Currently residing in Tempe, Arizona his career has given him the opportunity to live and work in seven US states, Europe, Mexico, Singapore and Japan.

Representative roles include: Executive Vice President for an automation systems development and integration company; Advance Manufacturing Technology management for a computer manufacturing company's European operations; Corporate Manager-Leverage Programs, for a Fortune 50 manufacturer; Manufacturing Engineering manager the green field start of two Maquila manufacturing plants in Chihuahua, Mexico; Materials / Process Engineering management in a 540,000 square foot, 1400 person computer peripherals plant.

These experiences were gained in operationally responsible positions. These include a 6 year career with a Fortune 50 conglomerate in product design, process automation and operations management and eleven years in high tech/growth computer manufacturing company, providing managerial and technical leadership from plant and corporate roles. Prior to beginning his consulting career, Dave was a Corporate Officer, with a high tech start up in the San Francisco bay area.

Dave received a degree in Mechanical Engineering (thermal science/nuclear) from North Dakota State University and added two years of study in GE's Engineering Management Program. He attended Case Western Reserve University and Indiana University earning a Masters degree in Business Administration. He has written and delivered papers at the conferences of IEEE, APICS, ASME, SME and CLM. Topics include (not exhaustive) High Throughput Materials Handling Solutions, Breaking Throughput Barriers, Point to Point Materials Movement, Aligning Business and Technology Goals and Third Generation Production Management Systems.
